Khopoli Branch

Lifelines of Mumbai i.e. Local Trains came to a standstill during the nationwide lockdown. Bankers who were posted at various places were stranded and could not reach their branches due to no proper public transport facilities. While AIBOBKS took the lead and ensured the management started bus facilities from various parts of Mumbai. But there was one peculiar case we came across. Our member Mr. Aniruddha Mirashi, SWO B, posted at Khopoli branch could not travel to branch since his residence Badlapur was very far. Autos were demanding a whooping *Rs. 2000 for to and fro journey daily*. In case he would have applied for temporary transfer it would have been granted but then again the branch would have asked for clerk on deputation to Regional office. He shared everything with our office bearer Mr. Dhagash Chande and asked his help to resolve the issue. Mr. Dhagash was quick to escalate the issue to Mrs. Monali Bhangale and our working president Mrs. Maya Paranjape who made sure to resolve the issue quickly. In order to create a win win situation and on Annirudh's suggestion, AIBOBKS ensured that he is sanctioned rent for staying at Khopoli itself only for the lockdown period which amounted to a meagre *Rs. 5000/- per month*. Yet another victory.

The most affected due to the nationwide pandemic lockdown were our brave women employees who had to manage house, children as well as work. Maintaing this balance was their biggest challenge. In one such case we came across Mrs. Deepti Dabhade, Officer, who used to travel from Pune(Residence) to Khopoli(Posting) daily. This was loss of time, money as well as the most precious thing health. All efforts of convincing the Branch Manager for alternate days working as well as temporary transfer to nearest branch were in vain. Then she contacted our office bearers(Mr. Dhagash Chande who in turn consulted our very active Working President Mrs. Maya Paranjape) at AIBOBKS and her temporary transfer to nearest Branch was done within a day.

With the amalgamation of the three banks we are lot more stronger as many employees from the amalgamated banks i.e e- Dena and e- Vijaya Have become a part of our union. They had bitter experiences of their existing unions, they wanted a change and we were “the change”. Few of the employees Had received order of the transfer on medical grounds but they were never implemented. Employees followup’s were not answered, They approached our union for the support. And so we as a union, Listened To their grievances And the result are herewith attached.

The banking industry and its employees were too affected by it. In an effort to bring normalcy, during the lock down period bank had issued a circular BCC:BR:112/179 to accommodate employees who were stranded at other cities, far away from the one posted at.As usual, the Guidelines Were not implemented swiftly And employees Had to give their own leaves for no fault of theirs. As a union we played the role of the Catlyst between the deprived employee and the management one such case is mentioned here with

Every employee more or less have come across the issue of harassment by Branch Heads or management. Such treatment to any employee hampers his/her mental placidness. An employee doesn’t know whom to approach for the justice, as also the colleagues starts alienating him/her. This is where, a strong and employee centric union comes to the aid of the employees. And this case is where we have proved it once again.

Hello everyone, Myself Ashvinee Bagde, Before I say anything I want to thank AIBOBKS for their immense help and support regarding my request transfer from Pune region to Nagpur region, on medical grounds, which was neglected for more than a year. Already being a Sickle cell anemiac and after being diagnosed with Pulmonary TB, my health condition was so severe that I was not in a position to join duties A Satara branch (Pune Region). I reached out for help to almost everyone I could to no avail. I was on loss of pay for almost a year. I am thankful that somehow, I got introduced to AIBOBKS through Mr. Ankush Sable sir. A1BQBK$' General Secretary Mr. Vinod I,1j1sAm,Sir and team members were quick to judge the situation and resolve the issue within 15 days. And most important part I want to mention here is that I was NOT even a member of AIBOBKS union. I appreciate their willingness to help me on humanitarian grounds. All thanks to 61E3,0,13,U I could finally join my duties in the month of August 2019 and also continue my treatment. It won't be an exaggeration if I say egt(21,1,K5 is not just a union but a "Family" where they care and help for each other.
